First, let me say as a parent I am proud of the teachers and staff of Louisa
County Public Schools. These are the folks that make a daily difference in our
children’s education. These folks include the teachers, teaching assistants, bus
drivers, administrators, cafeteria and environmental services staffs. You can
see their dedication and professionalism from the bus trip my children make in
the morning to the classroom to the cafeteria. I also want to thank everyone at
the Central Office of the School Board for their efforts as well.
I want to make our good schools even better. The role of the school board is not
to run the schools but to insure that schools are well run. We need to make sure
our schools and our children are given the best opportunity to succeed.
To move our schools forward we must have a plan. My ACT plan is based on
Accountability, Communication and Technology. You can read more about my
platform by clicking on the Platform button on the left side of this page. In my job,
I manage a budget comparable to the Louisa County School System. I
understand the demands of managing an organization of this size and I can help.
On a personal note, my wife and I chose Louisa County for its rural character.
We have lived here for 13 years and both of our children attend school at
Trevilians Elementary. I participate in my children’s activities both in and out of
school. My children are the most important things in my life and they are my
motivation for running for this seat. I have a vested interest in seeing Louisa
County Public Schools improve.
If you vote for me you will have a strong voice for the Patrick Henry District. In our
wonderful rural county, we have limited resources. I want to include as many
citizens and organizations in helping our schools help our children.
